Dr.Raviraj M. Kulkarni, Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, Coordinator, Nano Centre and B.Sc. Hons program. Chairman BOS Nanotechnology, VTU, Belagavi. Dr.Kulkarni has done Postdoctoral research work from University of Leuven, Belgium, University of Alberta Canada and TIFR Mumbai during 2003-2007.

Activities

On 28th February 2024 Department of Chemistry, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology Belagavi celebrated the National Science Day. The chief guest Dr. Vijaykumar Pawar, Director of Florentis Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, Pune delivered an invited talk on the significant role of artificial intelligence in revolutionizing discovery research processes.

Successfully conducted a 3-days Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Nanotechnology Applications, Challenges, and Prospects from 17th to 19th January 2024.

On 11th March 2023 Prof. D. A. Kulkarni, Principal KLS GIT, appreciated the Chemistry Department for organizing International conference on “Advances in Materials Science and Chemistry AMSC-23”

On 28th February 2023 Department of Chemistry, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology Belagavi in association with Institutions innovation Council celebrated the National Science Day. The chief guest Dr. Shivaprasad H. from the Indian Patent office Chennai delivered an invited talk on Framework of Indian Patents, publications and grants.

On 23rd January 2023 Mr. Marc de Laet, General Manager of Latecoere India Pvt Ltd (A French Company) visited our Nano Centre.

On 22nd December 2022 Prof. R. M. Kulkarni, received best researcher appreciation from GC Chairman KLS Gogte Institute of Technology during staff day celebration.

On 18th December 2022 B.Sc. (Hons) students visited Chikkabagewadi village as a part of Field Visit (3rd Semester).

Nano Club @ GIT Orientation program

On 23rd September 2022, kids of Majagavi Govt. High school No 19 visited our Nano center.

On 5th August 2022 an industrial expert talk was arranged by Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Nano center of Department of Chemistry. Mr. Anil Kotnis, Co-Founder, Director & CEO Glutrac, Bangalore was invited as a resource person for this event.
